BIO:

Nuclear Power Pants is a DIY glam/noise/soul outfit that formed in 2003 at Purchase College in New York State. And it was there and then that they founded the record label/band collective Standard Oil Records, whose roster included Dan Deacon and Drew Swinburne. The band's first five songs were all written in the same day, and initially their live sets were so short that even when playing one song twice each performance, they typically played for under 15 minutes. Assuming that the band had no future to begin with, they made several stupid rules for themselves. Among these were the decision to have the band's two lead singers bound together in a giant sweaty suit speaking every word in unison, and the decision to play continuous guitar feedback on top of every song. Despite the fact that the songs could often barely be heard through the din and that the lyrics to their entire repertoire could fit in a fortune cookie, their audience steadily grew in and around NYC. In 2005, they went on one short, kind of successful, kind of shitty tour around the South/Midwest/Northeast with Dan Deacon before they called it quits later that year.

Nuclear Power Pants reformed in 2007 in Providence, RI with several original members and many new ones. The noise element got more expansive and slightly quieter. The new songs were less about hanging out/partying and more about ecstatic visionary experiences. In 2008, they began relocating to Baltimore, MD to be closer to loved ones and expanded their lineup to ten people, including three new vocalists and a second synthesizer player. In October of that year, they were invited to be a part of the massive Baltimore Round Robin tour.

WEtW Contains a mix of reworked older songs and brand new ones.

In October and November of 2009 they will be heading out on a tour of the U.S. and Canada in support of their new album Wicked Eats the Warrior, opening for Dan Deacon.
